We’ve got a sponsorship board at the Silsden Cricket Club 🏏

And on 6th – 7th June, we really got its value for money...

As 4,000 people descended on the ground over the weekend for the Silsden AFC Juniors Annual Tournament!

It was a fantastic weekend, and we loved watching all the young, ambitious footie players showcase their skills and battle it out.

It’s World Environment Day 🌱

A day that means a lot to us and that we’re proud to celebrate.

At Mone Bros, reducing our environmental impact isn’t just a goal; it’s something we actively work towards every day through recycling, reusing materials and investing in more sustainable operations.

Here are just some of the ways we’re supporting a circular economy and reducing our environmental impact:

✅ Recycling waste aggregates into high-quality Type 1 materials for reuse
✅ Sourcing reclaimed and eco-friendly products, including Reclaimed Sleepers, Reclaimed York Paving Flags and Eco Sand
✅ Reducing reliance on virgin materials by supplying recycled alternatives to the construction industry
✅ Helping customers lower their own carbon footprint through sustainable product choices
✅ Conserving energy and reducing waste across our operations.

One of our biggest sustainability investments has been our state-of-the-art Wash Plant facility in Bramhope, North Leeds.

Since opening in 2024, it has enabled us to:

✔️ Process 150,000 tonnes of local waste that would otherwise have gone to landfill
✔️ Produce around 100 tonnes per hour of washed recycled products for reuse
✔️ Turn 99.9% of incoming materials into reusable products for the construction industry.

For us, sustainability is about taking practical action and creating long-term solutions that benefit both our customers and the environment.

Over on Denton Road, Ilkley, we recently supplied the Ward and Burke site with our 40mm washed aggregate.

The wash plant aggregates we supplied will be used for haul roads on the Denton Road part of the contract.
