DAZL - Dance & Health Charity DAZL is a multi-award-winning Dance and Health Charity. Using dance as physcial activity to reduce inequalities!

Our community provision include dazlempire & Dazlyouth training programmes
Association: IDTA International Dance Teachers Association Awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service "The MBE For Volunteer Groups" . DAZL is a not-for-profit dance and Health charity and limited company. We rely on grant income as well as a discreet level of social enterprise in order to ensure we can continue to work towards our charitable aims (listed below). Vision: A uniquely positioned organisation with partnerships across key sectors delivering quality dance opportunities and training for disadvantaged and vulnerable 3 - 25yr olds across Leeds. DAZL starts where children and young people are at. By offering fun, relevant and accessible dance opportunities. A DAZL participant will be clear about their options, enabled to make positive choices, confident, happy and healthy. DAZL Primary Aim – To improve the mental and physical health of children and young people aged 3 – 19 years, particularly girls, through dance as physical activity in disadvantaged communities of Leeds. DAZL Secondary aim – To reduce health inequalities, improving the health and wellbeing of children, young adults with disabilities up to 25 years, families and the wider community throughout Yorkshire through asset-based community dance and wider dance opportunities. The DAZL Model –Reducing inequalities and tackling inequalities through asset-based community development and dance.

Through our amazing partnership between DAZL (Dance Action Zone Leeds) and Inspiring Positive Futures (IPF), LS10 Club brings together the best of dance, creativity, friendship and learning! 💜💚

Team dazlempire corruption studio work with Kaci-leigh Emmonds
Our wonderful Choreographer and Alumni who is also developing the dancers at Mechanics' Performing Arts at Wakefield College

Creating new choreography, addressing mental health, highlighting the important conversation that needs to be happening especially in young men.

This studio work is part of a choreographed piece which will be showcased at the DAZL Show 5th December 2026.

Our Monday evenings are all about our incredible DAZL QUEENS! 👑💃

Every Monday, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, our amazing mums come together to dance, grow, challenge themselves and work towards some very exciting goals! 💜

At the moment, our Queens are working SO hard towards the RAPT Street Competition and our much-loved DAZL Annual Christmas Show 🎄🏆 The dedication, commitment and passion they bring into every session is something truly special, and the results speak for themselves! ✨

But what makes our Queens even more amazing is the example they set for our younger dancers. 🥹💜 They show our children that dance has no age limit, that it’s never too late to challenge yourself, and that with hard work, determination and a little bit of DAZL magic, incredible things can happen! 🌟

They are proof that dance is about SO much more than learning steps. It’s about confidence, friendship, community, resilience and believing in yourself. 💫

To our Queens, we are SO proud of everything you achieve, both inside and outside the studio. Keep pushing, keep shining and keep showing our younger dancers what it means to be a true DAZL QUEEN! 👑💃💜

💜💚 DAZL OUT IN THE COMMUNITY! 💚💜

Our DAZL Apprentice and Community Officer have been out and about in Wakefield, spreading the word about our upcoming Wakefield Happy Healthy Holiday Camp Day! 🕺✨

We’re passionate about making opportunities accessible to young people, encouraging them to get active, build confidence, make friends and have fun through dance! 💃🤩
