Round-up but melted 🫠

A ramble about aesthetics & physiques. How bodybuilding us seen as the pinnacle of health, but talk to any honest bodybuilder about what they put their body through & they will tell you going to such extremes is (A) not maintainable long term (B) Not healthy/balanced. Everything's so skewed that we see strong, healthy women & we tell them they're "too big." Give me strong bones, an impressive indicating longevity & true long-term health, and a good amount of muscle mass to combat in later life. "Too big" now but an independent elderly person later in life putting away my own shopping, still training hopefully and not as worried about breaking my hip, wrists or other important joints. The rates associated with hip fractures are a bit frightening, though. I'd rather prevent that than worry about being aesthetically unpleasing to some people πŸ™πŸ½βœ¨οΈ
If you're choosing to leave negative comments on a strong AF lasses's reel/profile give your head a wobble. People like are such machines! So bloody strong! I fear that it's fragile egos that feel inadequate lashing out. If they tear a strong woman down, it might make them feel better. I don't wish anything bad upon haters & trolls... I just wish that they'll work on themselves so they don't feel the need to treat others like this πŸ™πŸ½βœ¨οΈ
So keep on being absolute legends and don't let negative nellys online make you feel bad about training for longevity πŸ’ͺ✨️

I'm a coach that doesn't berate, doesn't shout (unless it's over loud music), doesn't use negative reinforcement, rather positive, and believes that doing something 80% "right" (imperfect action) is better than trying to do it perfectly & giving up. It's called a fitness journey because we're all making progress along the way. No one is doing a perfect hinge right away, and coaches that post hate about it online ought to give their head a wobble. Like, oh, you're hating on Sharon because she doesn't understand the squat pattern. Have you tried teaching her/coaching with empathy & understanding? It might work better than rolling your eyes then b*tching about it in the staff area. So not cool. It's a culture that shouldn't be supported & seeked to be stamped out πŸ™πŸ½βœ¨οΈ

I am very excited to announce that workshops are making a comeback, and this time, I have an amazing 2nd PT helping πŸ’ͺ✨️ .smith.coaching
She knows how to deadlift, of course! This was some great acting for content purposes 😁
Just a little taster. A snackette of what you'll learn πŸ€“
We're both leeds based, I'm Roundhay and surrounding areas, and the event is in Alwoodley. It is the same weekend as the Roundhay festival, and it has been brought to our attention that some roads will be closed. So we recommend finding alternative routes before the day. Our next master class won't be until August, so don't miss out 🀩✨️

Last year's workshop's were such a great example of why I believe in this movement so passionately. Creating a safe space for lasses to train, uplift one another, grow in strength by lifting each other truly is how we rise πŸ™πŸ½βœ¨οΈ
You don't have to be neurodivergent or alternative to join us and you don't have to be an experienced gym goer. We welcome beginners and ALL bodies.
I'm a leeds based personal trainer working in Roundhay and surrounding areas. I'm based at two places for in person services: Shirefit North Leeds, Far moss sports ground, Alwoodley, LS17 7NT. Also [MY]Gym Halton, 212 Selby road, LS15 0LF.
