Shoulder Mount ➡️ Brass Monkey 🐒

You’ll want a good, solid shoulder mount for this one, as you need enough control and time to move yourself around the pole and hook the inside leg.

A nice little progression if you’re working on your shoulder mount and want to start adding some more challenging variations.

Just a little variation within the move to give you another option to play with.

Because why do one version when you can make it slightly more dramatic? 👑😂

Elbow Grip Tutorial 💪✨

Elbow grip can feel SO much more secure when you understand how to set it up properly. The key is creating the right position before you commit your weight to the grip.

👉 Squeeze your knees together to help move your body away from the pole.

👉 Get the pole right into the crease of your elbow, then squeeze and push your arm down towards the floor to create the lock.

👉 Allow your hips to pull you slightly further away from the pole — this increases the pressure through the elbow grip and makes it even more secure.

When you’ve got the grip right, you should feel super secure in it. 🔒
