Alongside our and programmes, we’re proud to be running 9 league sides across the Aire Wharfe, Leeds Wetherby, and junior leagues.

Looking for a fun, active, and confidence-building activity this spring? Our Dynamos Cricket course for girls aged 8–11 is the perfect way to get involved! 💛

🏏 Hall of Fame Inductee – Paul Dews 🏏

We’re delighted to announce that Paul Dews has become the latest recipient of the Meanwood Cricket Club Hall of Fame award 👏

Paul joins his father Mick and mother Pauline as the third member of the Dews family to be honoured – a truly remarkable achievement in the club’s history.

Paul’s journey began with the junior sides in the 1980s and early 1990s, where he helped secure several age-group titles, before moving into the senior teams and eventually captaining the 1st XI. As far as we know, Paul remains the only 1st XI captain to secure a league and cup double, achieved in 1998 🏆🏆.

A swing bowler who regularly opened from the Myrtle End, Paul gave countless years of service to Meanwood before his career with the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United, and now Middlesbrough FC took him away from the club.

Congratulations Paul – a fantastic cricketer, captain and clubman, and a worthy addition to the Hall of Fame! 💚🤍

Meanwood Cricket Club is raising £2,000 to purchase much-needed new sight screens 🏏. These will make a huge difference to players of all ages, especially our growing junior and women’s sections, ensuring cricket at Meanwood is safer, more enjoyable, and more professional for everyone.

We’re proud of the progress our club is making, but we can’t do it without the support of our community. Every donation, big or small, takes us one step closer to reaching our goal.
