IS THIS THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN LEEDS? 🥢

I’ve said time and time again that Leeds doesn’t have a good Chinese restaurant BUT I hadn’t been to 😅

I stumbled in by accident and the pan fried dumplings were the tastiest thing I’ve eaten in SO long 🤤

Wens serve authentic home cooked Chinese cuisine and the family are originally from Shandong.

The menu ranges widely across many Chinese traditions, with nods towards Sichuan.

I will be going back 😍

PERSONAL REBRAND INCOMING 😮‍💨

I’m having a little rebrand…

I’ve been juggling far too many balls and focusing on fitness content alone isn’t working for me anymore.

I’m still training intensely but I’m also eating good, exploring new places and enjoying life the way I want to, so I’m choosing to share it all in once place.

You can expect all things food, fitness and lifestyle 😁

I’m feeling very frustrated with myself today ☹️

My anxiety is through the roof, my blood pressure is high and my focus is non-existent.

I really couldn’t think of anything worse than going to the gym today, overstimulated, overwhelmed and my head is not in it.

I’m having a little bit of a lazy day which is a challenge, but I do think it will be beneficial in the long run.

Yesterday I was SO happy with the progress I’m making and today I am just in my own head.

A wee bit of an emotional rollercoaster 👎

Here’s some mid-month motivation 👇

I’ve never been a huge results overnight kind of girl, and in all areas of my life progress has NEVER been linear.

For me, slow and steady wins the race and I will probably go backwards at some point.

And that’s absolutely fine.

This is a little progress picture from when I got back from travelling to now - my main focus has been regaining some definition but mostly my mental well-being.

Granted, if I would’ve started hammering my nutrition, I could’ve been a lot leaner and the results would’ve been more “impressive”.

But the way my ADHD brain works I would’ve quickly burnt out and that doesn’t help me at all.

My weight goes up and down, there’s two ways about it.

I don’t dwell
I don’t regret the decisions that I made
and I don’t sit and think “where would I be if I hadn’t gone backwards”

I just start again

I am always a work in progress and I love myself for it 😌

(the lack of a tan is making me a bit emotional🥲)

Everything has been whirlwind since I came home but I’ve just about landed back on my feet.

Training is good, diet is getting there - things outside of that are a work in progress 🫡

I know it’s hard to take that “first” progress photo but it’s gutting when your body changes and you don’t have an honest picture for comparison.

And trust me, there’s no better dopamine hit than a split pic that shows results 😮‍💨

My goals this year are strength focused but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see some physical changes too 🤫

2024 let’s go 👊

What a year it has been 🫶

Highs 👇
- travelling to incredibly beautiful countries
- making new friendships that will last a life time
- falling back in love with weight lifting after 6 months off

Lows 👇
- grieving a huge loss in my family
- struggling with hair loss because of Asian water 🥲
- battling a negative body image and lack of self love

Weirdly, 2023 has been the best and worst year of my life.

Here’s to plenty more highs and undoubtably (some) lows in 2024.

Ready to tackle any challenge that comes my way 👊

Honestly, at the moment the gym is the only place I don’t feel stressed 🙃

It’s a well needed mental break from reality and I don’t know what I’d do without having it as an outlet.
