Today is , a national moment to help children and young people feel safer and more confident online.

At CV8 Tennis & Cultiv8 Academy we’re proud to be supporting the day, and encouraging everyone within the Academy & our wider networks to get involved.

We’re focusing on creating conversations about how our athletes use the internet, what they enjoy, what challenges they face, and how we can support them to stay safe and make positive choices when online. We can all make a difference…

Every action helps raise awareness and supports young people’s digital wellbeing…it’s something we all need to get involved in.

It’s a chance for us all to play a part in creating a more supportive and safe digital world for our children.

Through our on-going support programmes we will:

✅ Engage
✅ Educate
✅ Empower

Our athletes, parents, coaches & support staff to make good decisions and support them in the process.

Please spread the word. This is hugely important to our children’s health & wellbeing 🙏

A brilliant week of festive fun!…🎄🎅 topped off with the traditional CV8 Christmas party today! 🎉💪 ⚽️🎾 So nice to have the younger & older players all in together…a great afternoon of fun, fiercely fought competition & amazing food!

Yorkshire's own Max Hodkinson triumphed yesterday, emerging as boys champion at the Carlos Moyà 12 & Under Festival, the season-ending invitational event for Europe’s top players in this age group. Now in its fifth year, the festival was hosted by the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca, welcoming 64 competitors from 22 nations. It’s a very special event where young players enjoy memorable moments on and off court, including a tour of the Spanish legend's trophy collection, and with some also bumping into Rafa himself, who was onsite during the week. Max has won a string of singles titles this year, including the 12U Boys' title at the Lexus Junior National Championships, which took place at Nottingham Tennis Centre in August. Congratulations to Max and coach Richard Crabtree on a hugely successful tournament and year.

It’s been a busy few weeks within the Academy..players, parents & coaches all living our 3 E’s, which are a fundamental part of our philosophy:

⭐️Engage
⭐️Educate
⭐️Empower

⚡️We had a really productive parents meeting which outlined the new programmes, emphasised our expectations but most importantly identified the critical role that parents play…we continue to strive to collaborate & support parents on their own journey as well as the players!

🔥Our coaches have been busy with our in-house coach development programme but we were also delighted to help & support the Swim England coaching programme…this allowed us to have some great coaching conversations, share methods of good practice, reflect on our culture & build working relations outside of tennis. Something we are really grateful for.

⭐️Players themselves are well into the new programmes & we’ve seen excellent engagement both on and off the court. Lots of learning going on, challenges being set, goals evaluated & a great vibe across the whole Academy! 🙌

The coming week sees more National camps, ITF events. Good luck to all. Back at base the hard work continues on and off court…we go again! 💪🎾

Brilliant to see some of the Leeds Beckett University staff and Steve, our programme manager for the RPDC getting recognised today at Buckingham Palace….a great achievement to be awarded Tennis University of the Year for 2024! 🙌

We are super grateful to have our base at LBU and be amongst world-class facilities and great people on a daily basis. Congratulations to all involved! 💪
