Tshirts - if you would like an Otley 10 technical tshirt they are available to club members for a bargain £8 celebrating the 41st running of the Otley 10 and recognising our amazing sponsors. Shirts are available in xs/s/m/l/xl/xxl.

Good morning everyone, The Otley 10 2026 takes place on 10 June 2026 and plans are already well underway.

As a member or follower you can help us promote the race in a couple of ways;

1. Cut and paste the text below and send on to all your FB followers or;
2. Include the email signature on your outgoing emails.

Last year almost half our entries came from "click though" applications, each additional entry we get this year means we can donate approx an extra fiver to our chosen charity "hug on a tray".

Otley AC are raising money to fight cancer and the money we raise will go to Hug On A Tray who provide invaluable support to families of people who are suffering from cancer.

They work, predominantly, in the Bexley Wing at St James' Hospital in Leeds. One of our long term members is currently battling Acute Leukemia in the Bexley Wing which has prompted our charity event. They recently completed the Chicago Marathon whilst (unknowingly) suffering from the illness - if that doesn't deserve some sponsorship we're not sure what does!

The challenge is to run/hike up The Chevin matching the equivalent height of Everest. This is approximately 48 reps from Birdcage Walk to Surprise View which hits the 8,849m elevation required. The total distance covered for a solo attempt will be over 62miles! We have several members who are going to attempt to do this within 24 hours as a solo challenge; we have teams of people who are dividing the reps up between them and we have lots of members who are going to come along and do a bit, adding to a cumulative club elevation total. Our Junior section is also going to attempt to complete one ascent of Everest between them!

There are so many people connected to the club who have suffered at the hands of cancer but we do want to say a special mention to Adam Barnes, a close friend of many members, who lost his long and brave battle against cancer in early November.

We hope any money we raise helps fight this horrible disease and helps provide some solace to family members.

Brilliant night at the opening race in the Harrogate and District Summer Race League (Hazza league for short).
60 OAC runners ran the 6 mile hilly route on a sunny May evening.
Some great results, quite a few HL debutants and hot sarnies at the end.
Can't wait for the next one in Yeadon on 5th June!

The Otley 10 Mile road race sponsored by Yorkshire Runner https://yorkshirerunner.com is celebrating its 40th running!

Wednesday June 11th at 7pm

This is a fun but competitive event and an absolute staple of the Yorkshire running scene.
The race starts close to Otley Cricket club before heading out to Pool, Leathley, Farnley and back to Otley.
The night finishes with a barbecue and prize giving with a Yorkshire Dales backdrop and over £500 in prizes to be won!
The race is priced at £16 for EA affiliates or £19 if not. All finishers will get a small gift at the finish line.
A commemorative 40th Otley 10 t-shirt is available as an option too.
