Celebrating 5 Years of International Day of Older Persons at Harehills Park Bowling Club

For the last four years, we've been proud to mark International Day of Older Persons right here on the green — and this year we're making our 5th year extra special.

This year, our celebrations will coincide with our Memorial Pairs Trophy — a day to honour the legends gone by and present who have upheld bowling and its heritage in Harehills Park and across Leeds for over a century.

Bowls is more than a game. It's friendship, community, stories shared across generations, and a tradition we're proud to keep alive. This day is our thank you to our older members and friends who built this club and others and continue to inspire bowling in Leeds.

Join us on the green to celebrate, remember, and play.

Randomly drawn pairs round robin. Taking place on Friday 9th October. Starting at 12 latest please try to arrive by 11:30 to practice and register 🤗

Good luck to our incredible Vets team as they head to Holbeck Moor tomorrow to take on Stanningley in the Clegg Cup Final! 🏆

This is the one we’ve all been waiting for, and we are looking for a massive replay of last year’s unforgettable win when we had a completely full house. 🙌🙌🙌

Do get down there and cheer the lads on to another historic win! 🙏🙏🙏

Bring it home, gents!
