Only 348 of you braved the wet, windy and well-muddy conditions at War Memorial Park today - Tony Watkins guessed closest.

We had four new parkrunners, with 21 visiting Basingstoke for the first time, and 16 people getting personal bests.

Milestones went to Nicholas Hartley and Philip Ashley (25 parkruns), and Beth Brook (100 parkruns).

There were unofficial milestones for John Paul Featherstone (200 parkruns) and Ken Thake (400 parkruns).

Thanks to all today’s volunteers, particularly Run Director Liz McGill, John Gaston in his 50th stint, and everyone from Chineham Park Running Club who helped and got a large amount of donations to their food bank appeal.

Also well done to the group from Basingstoke 5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer who had over 20 attendees despite the weather.

We’re back next week when we hope for better conditions - see you then!

Remember we have Chineham Park Running Club collecting for the food bank, and Basingstoke 5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer having their monthly meeting.

Come and donate at our food collection for Basingstoke Foodbank at Basingstoke parkrun 9am on Saturday morning. You can walk, run or volunteer. If you don’t fancy either of those, Basingstoke indoor tennis centre serves hot drinks. Where you can watch others getting their Saturday morning parkrun fix.
