A special thanks to Kate Ansell who along with The Gosport Shed raised Β£245 in sponsorship.
On behalf of Harbour Cancer Support, a huge thank you!
Another tradition, thwarted just a little by the weather this morning and that awful virus which is circulating around. Our breakfast tradition went ahead though... And lots of medals and awards won by lots of our swimmers.

Birthday Bounce for Emma in her new glamorous hat!
We all hope you enjoy the rest of your day! X
This morning it was sunny, but by the time 2pm came, there was a bitter cold wind, churning up the sea! π
Hats off to this hardy lot though! The squeals of delight meant they were enjoying jumping in the waves. It looked like fun!
And then there was cake to follow...π

**Changes to Community Swim**
It's getting much darker earlier now so tomorrow (9th October) will be the last Monday evening Community Swim.
We will be starting the Community Swim on a Saturday at 2pm this coming Saturday 14th October. So there will be two swims this week.
We are also planning a Halloween Swim on Tuesday 31st October at 6.45pm. We will be having toasted Marshmallows after our swim on the beach. It would be nice to be surrounded by some pumpkins, so if you're any good at carving and even if you're not, bring a pumpkin with you! π€£ Oh and lights for your towfloat!! Let's light up the beach and the sea!
Having just moved into the area, Rich wanted to make the most of living by the sea. He was already a very good swimmer and just needed a few changes to make his stroke, comfortable, relaxed and smooth. We think he achieved that goal! Rich has an amazing stroke that is quite mesmerising!
Aoife is training for a triathlon and needed some help to perfect her stroke. We worked on head position, body position and breathing, along with some other little tweaks to make her swim more comfortable. The end result was a very relaxed Aoife and a stroke to match! Have a look at her video and be inspired. Well done Aoife you look amazing!
Our last transformation of the day and by no means the least..! Take a look at Zoe, a breaststroke swimmer who wanted to become more efficient. Zoe was a fast learner which left plenty of time for learning other things!
Louise wanted to be able to breathe bilaterally and to swim in a straight line. With an already great body position, she was soon able to achieve bilateral breathing and sighting! Well done Louise. Another great coaching session. Amazing!
Chris came to us wanting to breathe bilaterally and make her stroke easier and more efficient. We think Chris was amazing working so hard and achieving a great result. Well done Chris, an amazing transformation!
Martine came to us in June wanting to work on her stroke in the pool until she was confident enough to swim front crawl in the sea..
She had just two sessions in the pool and a half hour sea session to gain such a beautifully smooth efficient stroke!
We are very proud of you Martine....Amazing work! Well done!
Just a few spots of rain didn't spoil a flat calming sea this evening. Although I missed the swim, It was peaceful watching. Welcome to Ben joining us for his first swim with the group.
Kathryn was suffering from shoulder issues and wanted to increase her speed. Our analysis picked up just a few tweaks which once rectified would make a world of difference to her. Kathryn you did so well, you worked hard and the result is fantastic! Well done!
Lisa was already a good breaststroke swimmer and just needed a few tweaks to make her a little faster. She also said she would try a touch of front crawl, which isn't her go to stroke! Wow! We are so pleased she did..! After just 20 mins of front crawl, she made it look like she had been doing it all her life! Well done Lisa !!
Emma was getting very breathless doing front crawl and we needed to slow her stroke down, so that we could improve her technique. She ended with an amazing smooth efficient stroke! An inspiration to us all. Well done Emma! An awesome transformation.
Kate came along on Saturday for a coaching session. She wanted to learn how to do bilateral breathing and also wanted to speed up in the water. Have a look at Kates video and see the great progress she made in just one hour! Well done Kate!
Andy is a triathlete and wanted to make his times better for the swimming discipline. We took Andy through our Event Coaching Session and he worked hard to get some amazing reults! Well done Andy!!
Charlotte found her front crawl was tiring and she would revert to breaststroke. We concentrated on her breathing and rotation. WOW, she did so well!
Toria wanted to be able to get her breathing right and swim in a straight line. She ended up accomplishing both! Another Amazing transformation!
Yesterday Heather came for a coaching session. She has a big triathlon coming up next month and needed to save lots of energy for the bike and run! We helped her to make her stroke much more efficient!
