Another showstopper at Claypit Lane yesterday, once again on the tea front!

For the last two home games, G & Ella have really pulled out all the stops to provide the best teas in the league. Yesterday’s spread featured 2 slow cookers, pizzas, homemade sausage rolls, homemade brownies and MUCH more! Check the comments for the photos of it all. 🥵

This weekend is our penultimate game of the season as we host Scholes. Can the lads finish with 2 wins and hope for a bit of fortune at Goole to turn the tide in our favour? A couple missing again as Fred takes the gloves for another Saturday 🫠

It is also worth noting it is our final fundraiser of the year within the season of ‘Bring a Board’ Night, meaning the bar will be open all day and night! We would love to see as many of you down as possible, weather is set good.

This Saturday following our final home game of the season, we are inviting you all to our final fundraiser of the year. All we require you to do is bring your favourite board/card game(s) and or bring some food - from 6:30pm ish. Let’s enjoy a drink and some laughs for our brilliant 2026 season!

Saturday 5th September is our big end-of-season fundraiser 🎉

The theme is simple: pick a colour and bring a food board or drink to match! 🌈🍻 Then bring your favourite board games, bring your mates, and get ready for a night of games, food, drinks and some messy games!

📅 Please get it in the calendar! More info will follow closer to the time, but there WILL be drink deals… because those fridges and cupboards need emptying! 🍺👀

Not quite our last fundraiser as on Sunday 13th September, our Men’s & Women’s All Star side will be taking on The Village Idiots 🤡🏏 We’re still collecting bottles (any bottles) for this day so please pass these onto Georgina Elizabeth⁩ in good time.

☔️ Rain wins at Hillam & Monk Fryston Cricket Club as we bat first and were 92/3 off 18.4 overs. Josh Ware returned to the side after a long time out with injury with a very well made 42* off 48 balls.

A long time since we have played at Hillam but a brilliant ground and good lads. Shame we could not get a game in as the deck looked a cracker. 2 games to go now, still 14 points behind 2nd placed Goole.

This week we head to one of our close neighbours Hillam & Monk Fryston Cricket Club as we look to dodge the rain.

As we sit 14 points behind Goole we are hoping they slip up twice and we win our remaining games. Another strong XI as we look for our highest ever finish in Division 2.

A 1pm start at Hillam for those of you who want to make the short journey across.

🍻☀️🏏 𝐋𝐞𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝙫𝙨 𝐋𝐞𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 (+ 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬) - 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 🏏☀️🍻

As we are now just over 2 weeks away from our first-ever village game, the tension is building! Village Captain Wes Holleran has announced that his squad is shaping up better than expected, and they’re hoping for a comfortable win. 👀

Now we bring you the Ledsham CC squad and their player profiles:

1: 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗵 & 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 – Arguably our strongest pair, as we look to Beth to do all the heavy lifting, having represented Leicestershire Women. 👀

2: 𝗠𝗲𝗴 & 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗻 – Another strong pairing here, who have both been spotted on the bowling machine. Can Meg show Az how to catch? 🚀

3: 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 & 𝗝𝗮𝗸𝗲 – These two are an unknown quantity and are our wildcard. Here’s hoping Amelia can get through more overs than her other half without breaking down… 💥

4: 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮 & 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝘆 – Another couple who add firepower to our side. G has shown off her abilities in the tea room last week, but we’ve no doubt her training will pay off on the field too. 💣

5: 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮 & 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱 – The only non-couple on the squad, but these two have already spoken tactics and are looking to end the villagers’ hopes before they’ve even begun. Laura is on a strict fortnite meal plan which restricts the amount of alcohol and e cig consumption she can have before the big day.🧨

We look forward to a fun-filled day for families, friends and many more on Sunday 13th September. We’re still collecting raffle prizes and bottles for the ‘Bottle Stall’ too, so please get in touch if you have any prizes to donate.

📈 ʀᴜɴ ꜰᴇꜱᴛ ᴛʜʀɪʟʟᴇʀ ᴀᴛ ᴄʟᴀʏᴘɪᴛ ʟᴀɴᴇ 📈

As we welcomed Wheldrake Cricket Club to Ledsham last weekend, marked another spectacular 10 points as we chased down 235 with 7 balls to spare!

Electing to bowl first we started strongly, restricting Wheldrake to 100/3 after 30 overs. An excellent 12 overs through for Adam Rothera who finished with 2/43. Wheldrake finished with a flurry to blast their way to a competitive 235 from their 45. Liam Fox the other standout with 1/40 from his 12.

The chase was off to a flyer as it was raining sixes as Rothera blasted his way to 48 from just 24 balls getting us well above the rate. Andrew Kelly anchored the innings with another excellent 60* from 117 balls, while Liam Fox brought us home in style slapping a destructive 42* from just 23 balls.

We climb back above Pocklington into 3rd place, but still 14 points behind Goole with 30 left to play for. We require a few slip ups but we will continue to strive for our best ever finish in Division 2.
