Just to give a heads up. The payments page on my website is down this evening for booking workshops. I am hoping it will be up And running again tomorrow. If you wish to book a workshop, you still can. Just email me with your name and the workshop you would like to book, and I can send you details of how to pay. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Always wanted to try painting but not sure where to begin? Join my friendly folk art painting and dot mandala painting workshops, designed especially for those who want to enjoy a relaxing, creative new hobby. These beginner-friendly sessions make it easy to learn at your own pace, and you’ll take home a lovely finished piece even after your very first workshop.

Workshops are held in small groups at venues in Oxfordshire in Kencot, Cumnor and Bicester, and you’ll get plenty of one-to-one help whenever you need it.

Me working Isis lock. This is where we joined the Oxford Canal. We are moored at Thrupp tonight after an eventful day. We have coped with running aground, due to shallow water on the Thames. It took Martin an hour to dig around the boat to free her! This was followed by the electrics not working at Godstow lock, so it had to be wound by hand, and because of the low water levels the locks on the Thames are only opening every half hour. All these delays meant we missed having a pub meal at The Jolly Boatman. Never mind, we have fed ourselves, and put our feet up. One lift bridge and two locks tomorrow before Enslow. We are on our way to our new mooring with the narrowboat. We were supposed to leave in a week’s time, but with the lock closures on the Oxford Canal now as far as Aynho, we didn’t want to wait any longer. We need to get through Baker’s lock, that’s the last lock before our new mooring. We left Lechlade today at about 11am, and arrived here at Newbridge at 6pm. We normally say hello to Life at the Lock but it was lunchtime, so missed them today. Martin decided it was beer o’clock and sat soaking his tired feet.
