Penultimate team sheets 🏏💪💥

Our 1st XI hosts East Molesey, whilst our 2nd XI takes on Surrey Warriors away in their penultimate matches. Back at home, our 3rd XI faces Ockham in their final match, with our 4th XI back next week to close off their season.

This weekend the 1s won in dramatic fashion against Wimbledon 2s chasing 294! Zippy and Noor produced the winning runs is style 🤩🙌

Other notable performances were Cunningham with 69 at the top of the order and Walker with a 3fer 👏 Congratulations to the whole team 🏏🥳

The 4s had a big win against Beddington 5s to secured promotion! They won be a whopping 160 runs with hundreds from Riz and Harry 👏🥳🥳

🚨RESCHEDULED Dads & Daughters Session🚨

After a fantastic turnout from our mums and sons this summer, we can’t have our dads and daughters missing out on all the fun!

It’s all about quality time, bringing our HSCC community together and a chance for your daughters to show you what they’ve learnt, all whilst supporting women in cricket 🏏💪🏃‍♀️

Another busy weekend! Here are your teams 🏏☀️

Our 1st XI travels to table toppers SinjunGrammarians, with our 4th XI joining them on the road as they face Capel. At home, our 2nd XI takes on Farnham, whilst our 3rd XI hosts local rivals East Horsley.

On Sunday, our Trust XI returns as they go head to head with Ashford away.

Our next profile is a true club legend…John Bingham (aka Bing)!

Background: I started playing for Horsley CC when I was 11 (68 years ago🫣). I was chairman of Horsley CC for about 10 years.

Proudest moments: I’m not sure who it was against but my best bowling performance was 8-22. I also got a hat trick on tour 1987, the only club hat-trick tourist (I still have the ball!).

Awards:
2nd XI bowling cup in 1966 (26 wkts)
1st XI bowling cup in 1967 (52 wkts)
1st XI batting cup 1971 (Highest score 97😕)

Favourite memories: All on tour… seeing Kelvin Gibson-Watt an ex player shinning up the flagpole at Seaton trying to recover his pants which had been hoisted. Or, Toppers standing on a table completely naked in the changing room at Tiverton Heathcote trying to recover his towel from the roof hatch, not a pretty sight!

Thank you bing for your dedication to our club on and off the pitch over so many years! 😇🥰
