We’re pleased to confirm that the Skills Area at Newbold Comyn has now been given the all clear and is officially OPEN again! 🎉

Thank you for your patience while the area was closed, and we really appreciate everyone staying clear while the necessary work and checks were carried out.

You can now get back out there and enjoy the trails! 🚵‍♂️💨

🚴 The Newbold Dash 2026 is back! 🚴

We’re excited to announce that the Newbold Dash 2026 will be returning as part of CycleFest at Newbold Comyn on Saturday 19th September!

In partnership with RLSCC, we’ll once again be hosting an action-packed day of racing with two events:

🔹 Beginners’ Dash – Perfect for children, families and anyone new to racing. A fun, friendly introduction to cycle racing with a welcoming atmosphere.

🔹 The Newbold Dash – Our main race, where riders can test themselves around the course in a fast-paced and exciting event.

Whether you’re taking part, cheering from the sidelines or simply coming along to enjoy everything CycleFest has to offer, it’s set to be a fantastic day for the local cycling community.

⚠️ Temporary Closure – Skills Area ⚠️

Due to a burst water main on Newbold Comyn, the Skills Area is temporarily closed while the issue is dealt with.

This is outside of our control and the relevant authorities have been informed. We’ll reopen the area as soon as it’s safe to do so.

The rest of the hub remains open as normal.

Thank you for your patience and understanding – we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

Warwickshire County Council is hosting an online workshop for cyclists and mountain bikers to discuss how public rights of way can be improved across the county.

Topics include:
✅ Issues faced by off-road cyclists and MTB riders
✅ Maintenance of public rights of way
✅ Opportunities to improve the network
✅ The role of volunteers
✅ Balancing the needs of different users
✅ Other concerns raised by participants

This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of cycling access and trail development in Warwickshire.

Mercia Cycles is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Bicycle Mechanic to join our team at our Newbold Comyn Cycle Hub in Leamington Spa.

This is a full-time position working in a busy workshop carrying out servicing, repairs, bike builds and helping customers keep their bikes running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who:
• Has experience working as a bicycle mechanic
• Takes pride in their workmanship
• Has good customer service skills
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Has a passion for cycling

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and the local cycling club for their hard work during today’s litter pick! 👏🚴‍♂️🗑️

Together, they collected an incredible amount of rubbish from the trails and surrounding areas, helping to keep our parks and riding routes clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. 🌿

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who gave up their time to make a difference in the community. Your efforts really do have a positive impact.

This also serves as a reminder to all trail users — please respect the environment and take your litter home with you. Let’s all do our part to keep these beautiful spaces clean for everyone to enjoy. 💚
