Tomorrow we welcome our Little Rascals back into the studio for a brand-new term! 🩰

We can’t wait to see lots of familiar little faces again… and we’re especially excited to welcome some brand-new Little Rascals joining us for the very first time. 👋

Our Little Rascals classes are all about introducing children aged 2–4 to the joy of dance in a fun, friendly and encouraging environment.

Expect music, movement, imagination, plenty of smiles and, most importantly, lots of FUN!

To all our returning dancers… welcome back!

And to our newest Little Rascals… welcome to Jaykays. We can’t wait to have you with us.

There’s something pretty special about looking back at where it all began.

Last term, six of our dancers reached a very exciting milestone, successfully passing their in-house pointe assessments with Connor and showing they had developed the strength, technique and readiness needed to take the next step in their ballet training.

And over the summer, they reached a moment many young dancers dream about…Getting professionally fitted for their very first pair of pointe shoes! 🩰✨

Here’s a little look back at two of these dancers when they were younger, just beginning their Jaykays journeys, and now look at them!

Pointe work isn’t something we rush. It comes after years of learning, strengthening, developing technique and building the foundations needed to progress safely and confidently.

We’re incredibly proud of all six dancers and can’t wait to watch this next chapter of their dance journeys unfold.

What a brilliant weekend for our Jaykays dancers!

More than 90 young dancers auditioned for the chance to join the Junior Ensemble of The Spa Centre’s pantomime, Cinderella… and we’re incredibly proud to announce that our very own Ivy successfully secured a place in Team Buttons! 🌟

A huge congratulations also goes to Maisie, Marni and Amelia, who all made it through to the final 32 dancers and have secured places on the reserve team & to all the other Jaykays dancers who auditioned.

Auditioning takes confidence, courage and plenty of hard work, so we’re incredibly proud of all four girls for getting out there and showing exactly what they can do.
Congratulations, girls… another fantastic Jaykays student success! 👏✨

The countdown is officially ON… just one more week until the Jaykays studios are filled with music, movement, laughter and our brilliant dancers once again! 🩰✨

New term. New goals. New routines. New challenges. And plenty more Jaykays memories waiting to be made. 💙

Whether you’re returning for another year with us or thinking about joining Jaykays for the very first time, we can’t wait to get started.

And if you’ve got a dancer at home who’d love to give it a go, there’s still time to join us for a two-week trial for just £10 in selected classes:

For our littlest dancers, dance class is about so much more than learning steps.

While they’re busy twirling, tapping, clapping, balancing, counting and moving to the music, they’re also developing skills that can support them far beyond the dance studio. 💗

✨ Building confidence & independence
🎵 Developing rhythm, listening & musicality
🧠 Remembering patterns & sequences
🔢 Exploring counting through movement
📚 Supporting skills linked to language & early literacy
🤸 Developing balance, coordination & motor skills
👯 Learning to take turns, listen & work alongside others
🌈 Using imagination, creativity & self-expression
💗 And, of course… discovering a love of dance!

Our Little Rascals and Tiny Dancers classes are designed to give young children a fun, positive introduction to dance — building those all-important foundations without it ever feeling like a lesson.

Because sometimes the biggest learning happens when little ones are simply having fun. ✨

We are incredibly proud to announce that FOUR Jaykays students: Amelia, Bailey, Daniel & Isla, have been nominated to attend the prestigious IDTA Theatre Dance Awards 2027! 🏆✨

Dancers are nominated by an IDTA examiner following their examination, recognising exceptional performances and results of 92% or above. Special shout out to Daniel for an amazing mark of 94% for his Grade 4 tap exam 👏🏻 IDTA Theatre Dance Awards

In February, Amelia, Bailey, Daniel & Isla will be heading to the Telford International Centre for the Theatre Dance Awards, joining talented dancers from across the country.

We couldn’t be prouder of each of you… or more excited to see where this experience takes you.

A huge congratulations to our four nominees, and to our teaching team who work so hard to help our dancers develop, progress and achieve.
