Let’s talk about what stops us achieving our health and fitness goals 🤔
The Biggest Excuses—Time 🕰️ and Money💰
Let’s be honest we all want to feel stronger, healthier, and more energised—but then the excuses creep in.
We’ve all been there—we start telling ourselves we don’t have enough time or money to exercise or eat healthily.
I get it—life is busy 🤪
Work, family, responsibilities… It’s easy to say, “I don’t even have 30 minutes to spare.”
But here’s the truth: It’s not about finding time, it’s about making time. These are just barriers we create, not ones we can’t overcome.
Let’s break these down and flip the script:
⏳ “I don’t have time.”
We all have the same 24 hours, but how we use them makes the difference. Instead of saying you don’t have time, try asking: “How can I make time?”
If you really don’t have a full 30-minute window, that’s okay—because you don’t need it.
Reality check: You don’t need hours at the gym or elaborate meal preps.
✔️ Break it up – 10 minutes in the morning, 10 at lunch, 10 before bed. Movement adds up.
✔️ Move with intention: A 20-30 minute strength session, a Pilates flow, or even a walk can get the job done.
✔️ Plan smarter, not longer: Meal prepping a few basics (like grilled protein, chopped veggies, and whole grains) makes healthy eating quick and effortless during the week.
✔️ Stack habits: Stretch while you’re on a call, do squats while brushing your teeth, or take the stairs instead of the lift.
💰 “Eating healthy is too expensive.”
Reality check: A little planning goes a long way.
✔️ Buy in bulk: Frozen veggies, canned beans, and whole grains are budget-friendly staples.
✔️ Skip the overpriced health fads: You don’t need fancy superfoods—simple, whole foods like eggs, oats, and legumes fuel your body just as well.
✔️ Limit takeout and processed foods: Home-cooked meals cost less and nourish you more.
Prioritise what matters – We make time for work, social media, Netflix… What if just one episode of TV became a quick workout instead?
The truth is, the busiest people in the world still find time to move—because they choose to. Don’t wait for time to appear. Claim it.
Your body, energy, and mindset will thank you.
Excuses keep us stuck. Action moves us forward. Your health is an investment, not an expense. Your body is worth the time.
This week, let’s replace “I don’t have time” with “I’ll make time” and “I can’t afford it” with “I’ll prioritise it.”
Small steps lead to big changes—let’s go! 🙌🏻
