The Asylum is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. We cater for all disciplines of weight lifting at ANY LEVEL (beginner, novice, amateur, professional) such as bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, Olympic lifting, health, fitness and well being. We also stock plenty of conditioning equipment to get your lungs working at full capacity. We at The Asylum aim to help and encourage all our members in any avenue they have chosen, so please don't be afraid to ask! We are strictly a members only gym. Sign up is completed online, please message us for the link. Visits are by appointment only.

Unfortunately, despite our previous post, we’ve seen another group of teenagers trying the doors and attempting to gain access to the gym tonight.
This has been captured on our CCTV.

The gym remains CLOSED. There is no access to the building and the car park has been coned off.

Please respect the closure and stay away from the premises.

Please do not attempt to enter the gym or access the premises.

The gym remains CLOSED and the site is currently unsafe following the flood damage.

We've noticed a number of people trying to gain access and hanging around the car park. While we appreciate everyone's interest and concern, the building is off limits. The car park has also been coned off and should not be entered.

Please be aware that the premises are monitored by CCTV.

We're already dealing with a difficult situation and would appreciate everyone's cooperation while we work through this and assess the next steps.

There are literally no words.

Almost 11 years of building this gym, this community, and everything we've worked for has been wiped out by the flooding.

Right now, we're struggling to comprehend the scale of the damage. It's severe, and honestly, we're not sure where we go from here.

To everyone who has reached out with messages, support, and offers of help — thank you. It means a lot.

We're taking some time to assess everything and figure out the next steps. We'll update you all as soon as we can.

7 years ago we had the privilege of spending a few days with the Household Cavalry in Windsor 🇬🇧

Staying in the barracks, breakfast in the Officers’ Mess, refereeing an in-house competition, and Paul delivering a seminar to the soldiers.
