If a behaviour only feels worthwhile when it changes how we look, are we pursuing health or aesthetics?👀

This is something social media drills into us - that our bodies should fit a standard and it automatically decides how we view ourselves.

We all go through seasons in life, none of them are permanent but it’s our perspective that shapes them.

Make good choices because they support your health, your energy, happiness and how you show up each day.

Not to chase a destination - which we have all done at some point.

Of course we want to have goals, to make an effort, and to care about how we look.

Most of us do.

There’s a difference between wanting to feel confident in your body and believing your value depends on it.

I keep seeing posts saying - “It’s okay to look like you have had a baby, after you have had a baby.”

The fact we even need to justify this to ourselves is madness.

We all have moments where we compare, or wish things looked different.

But making a conscious effort to support what our bodies are doing for us matters more than meeting a standard🌷

That beginner feeling.

So many of us hold ourselves back from trying something new because we’re not:

“Experienced enough”
“Coordinated”
“Able to keep up”
“Confident”

— Especially when it comes to exercise🏋🏼‍♀️

You can be experienced and still feel like a beginner.

Whenever we try something unfamiliar, a skill we haven’t yet practised or go outside our comfort zone, a bit of anxiety is completely normal.

This was me before my first Reformer class.

Walking in on my own, not knowing what to expect and a while since i’d done any proper exercise😅

Just because I’m an instructor doesn’t mean I don’t feel it too.

But the science is there, I went and did it anyway and felt better for it.

Confidence always comes AFTER we try🕺🏼

Pretty sure the original has sundried tomatoes, which I would probably like, but if you know me then you know Im a creature of habit with food😅

I always roast a chicken for my pastas because I find it tastier (also muchhhhh quicker). Again you can add whatever protein source you like🍗

This is what I do to make 2 portions, if you need less/more you can alter the cream & water in the chicken stock to suit.

Save this for your next creamy pasta dish😋✨

The woman’s body is such a beautiful thing.

Nothing makes you appreciate yourself more.

It definitely has its flaws but I really have loved being pregnant.

We are so ready to meet our little toot🧸

Now i’m off to clean the house, for the 52467 time ###
