So some exciting news….. now I’m all healed and better I’m starting to do some classes at Launceston Leisure Centre as a Relief Instructor. Back to the home ground as it were!

For the minute I will be there for the following classes:

Monday 9th Feb 6:30pm Circuits
Monday 16th Feb 6:30pm Circuits

Thurs 19th March 12:30 Spin
Mon 23rd March 7am Spin
Mon 23rd March 11am Over 50s HIIT

Booking is through the Leisure Centre Booking System or at the desk I believe.

There will be more classes to come and I’ll keep you posted as to what and when as they come up 🥰

Back to the gym today after at least a month off 😱

Hairdressing can be brutal on the body - standing (not walking), reaching and repetitive motions are a killer.

All need addressing in the gym to keep
Me from injury

Currently I have an ankle issue related to my hypermobility and overuse in the salon - I have no idea how it’s going to respond in the gym after pretty much being on crutches mid December.

So this year I’m hoping to really focus on my training and strengthen my body to future proof my wellbeing and my main career.

Things I achieved in 2025:

Lowering of stress by managing expectations for me and those around me. Also using the word “no” and losing the guilt attached to that the best I can ✋

Losing 3 stone in weight, slowly, 1lb at a time since January 2025. 🐌

Maintaining that weight loss the last 2 months. 👗

By removing the stress and the excess weight I nipped the blood presssure issue in the bud super fast. 🩸

Made sure I got enough rest and decent quality sleep.😴

Learned to listen to my body’s cycle and train/rest/eat accordingly 🗓️

Goals:

• 🏃‍♀️Cardio fitness
• 🧘 Flexibility
• 🏋️Muscle gain
• 🙋‍♀️1/2 stone more to lose and maintain
• 💤Manage stress where possible and that includes high quality rest and sleep 🛌

Maybes:

👟A return to class teaching, ad hoc

Today I did this - I really enjoy this series, let me know if you try it!

You can do it with dumbbells or kettlebells, have a couple of different sizes to play to your strengths. I’m way stronger through the legs than the arms!!

I tend to do the whole body workouts because I’m never sure when I can get there next….

Swiss Ball is now Balls and Bands!

A little change for the new year - similar format but with a few rounds using resistance bands.

Same low impact workout, just adding a little variation.

Still some spots left for tonight, but not many!

Breakfast Sorted for the week!

Banana ans Blueberry Loaves

These are my favourites- 2 of these give me a balanced start that stops me snacking and craving more

Not overly sweet with a decent amount of protein for something like this.

Recipe from The Meal Prep King (excellent book and in fact I think they have a new one too) The Meal Prep King

Each mini loaf contains 76 kcals. 13g carbohydrate, 1.5g fat, 2.9g protein

200g mashed Banana, 150g blueberry, 3 eggs, 100g sr flour, 150g wholemeal dlour (i like spelt) 50ghoney, 50g peanut butter, 150g natural yoghurt, tsp vanilla, tsp cinnamon, tsp baking powder, tsp bicarb, 50g peanut butter.

Mix wet ingredients
Mix dry ingredients
Combine
Stir through blueberries

Divide and bake 180 for 20 mins
