Various competitions were cancelled yesterday because of the rain but not the Frank Forrest Triples at Lauder Bowling Club. A terrific day and the sun even made an appearance for us in the afternoon.

Big thanks to the ladies in the kitchen for keeping the players well fed all day, to the bar staff for keeping us well oiled and to Alexander Weir for prep of the green which played great. Well done to all and congratulations to our winners, Robbie, Kyle and Connor who secured victory in a terrific final against our friends from Dalkeith Bowling Club.

Due to a couple of late withdrawals, we now have two spaces for triples available in our Frank Forest Triples competition at Lauder Bowling Club this Sunday 30th August 2026.

The draw has now been made for our Frank Forest Triples, taking place at Lauder Bowling Club on Sunday 30th August 2026.

🕤 Sections 1 & 2: 9.30am start
🕙 Section 3: 10.15am start

🎯 Format:
• 5 games of 6 ends
• Winners of each section plus the best runner-up progress to the semi-finals
• Burnt ends count, except the final end which can be replayed
• Skips are not permitted to come to the head during their turn
