✍️ A little reminder for dancers…
Corrections can be hard to hear sometimes.
From teachers, judges, coaches, parents, whoever it may be.
It’s easy to take them personally, especially when you care so much and you’re already trying your best.
But most corrections are not a criticism of who you are.
They’re information. They’re direction.
They’re often someone saying,
“I see more in you.”
And deep down, you know there are no magic fixes. No instant turnout, no overnight stamina, no quick way to build confidence, strength, consistency, or resilience.
First you have to notice it yourself. Then you have to keep working at it. It takes time, repetition, and patience.
Behind so many dancers are teachers who are thinking, planning, correcting, encouraging, adjusting, and trying to bring out the best in every single student.
So maybe today is a good day to pause and say thank you.
Thank you for your time.
Thank you for your commitment.
Thank you for caring enough to correct us.
Thank you for seeing what we’re capable of.
