What an amazing day at the LAAA Championships

A fantastic day for Larkhall YMCA, with the championships held at Crownpoint in Glasgow.

We had some fantastic performances from our athletes, with 9 medals won across a variety of distances! 🥇🥈🥉

A brilliant way to round off the outdoor track season and a fantastic reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment shown by our athletes throughout the year.

A huge thank you to our amazing coaches, parents and, of course, our athletes for everything you have contributed to what has been an outstanding outdoor season. ❤️🤍❤️

What an amazing day at the Podfather 10K in Stirling.

A fantastic weekend for team Larkhall at the Scottish Athletics age group championships for under 14, under 16 and under 20 age categories.

On Saturday, Sam, Ross, Erin and Laci competed. Erin ran a fantastic PB in the 100m in her heat, then another PB in the semi final, narrowly missing out on a final place.

Both Ross and Laci competed in the 200m with Laci winning both her heat and semi-final, before securing a silver medal in the final! 🥈

Ross also ran a stormer of a race to secure a bronze 🥉 medal for third place in his race.

On Sunday, Aimee, Emma, Michael and Josh took part in the under 14 events. Aimee and Emma both ran PBs in the 100m.

Aimee also went on to secure a 14cm PB in the long jump with a whopping 4.04m jump.

Michael also took part in the long jump, narrowly missing out on his PB and the 80m hurdles.

Josh ran the 100m, winning his semi final and securing a second place silver 🥈 for the 100m in the final.

Fantastic performances all round.

A huge well done to Larkhall YMCA sprint coach Alasdair Dooey on winning bronze medals in both the 100m and 200m at the Scottish Masters Championships in Grangemouth. 🥉🥉

A terrific effort and an amazing achievement! 👏🏃‍♂️

Our Harriers have been busy this summer, with events such as women's 10k, Crammond 5 and 10k runs and runs at the windfarm. More amazing performances and PBS happening , as well as having fun in our unusually sunny weather 🌞🌞.. Well done to everyone and keep up the good work 💪💪

What a weekend of racing for Larkhall YMCA Harriers!

Friday evening saw Alex Kidd and Shannon Smith take on the Run the Blades 10K at Whitelee Windfarm.

On Sunday morning, a fantastic group of our senior athletes headed to Cramond Promenade for the Up and Running Events in Edinburgh.
