Today, two lovely primary school girls came into the shop (I do know their names but don’t want to post them publicly), and I gave them each a sweet , as they were interested to see what we had in store and they were confident enough to come in and have a conversation . It was just a small gesture to show them that it’s great to see young kids being polite and have confidence……. however the part that surprised me is …..later they came back with the most thoughtful gift to say thank you ☺️

It truly made my day and put the biggest smile on my face to see young kids being so kind & thoughtful

Moments like this remind me what a special community we have here in Larkhall. Seeing children able to come into local shops, feel safe, show kindness, being polite, and treat others with such respect is something really worth celebrating.

To the girls and their families—thank you. Your thoughtfulness, kindness, and the values you’ve clearly nurtured shone through today.
You should be incredibly happy to see them doing as you have taught them.

It’s little acts of kindness like this that make our community such a wonderful place to stay , work and live
