Jenkins School of Highland Dancing Highland Dance School Our Highland Dance School offers a warm and welcoming family friendly learning environment.

Based in Airth and Camelon the S.O.H.D.A
multi-championship winning Jenkins School of Highland Dancing was established by sisters Alison and Laura Jenkins both past champions in their own right. We welcome pupils from the age of 3 years and upwards. Many of our highland dancers compete at competitions and Highland Games all over Scotland while other pupils come to our dancing lessons just to learn the dances, socialise, make new friends as well as keeping fit. We encourage all of our dancers to sit SOHDA examinations giving any pupil the help and support they may require to progress through all the examination levels from pre-primary to the full teachers exam.

A huge well done to Isla, who successfully qualified to compete in the 12–15 Years Section at the 2026 Braemar Gathering πŸ’™

At just 12 years old, Isla was one of 20 dancers selected to compete in her age group, and had the very special experience of performing her Flora on stage while The King and Queen were in attendance πŸ‘‘

We are so proud of how hard you worked to prepare for Braemar, Isla, and hope you enjoyed every minute of such a special day πŸ’™πŸ’™

Well done to our wee group of Jenkins dancers who travelled to Penicuik, Midlothian today to compete at the SOHDA Memorial Competition.

Oonagh-Skye has really impressed us with her fantastic concentration in class. She listens carefully to every correction she is given, has been working hard at home to put those corrections into practice, and is doing a brilliant job of applying them to her dances.

We are so proud of the progress she is making and, most importantly, the commitment she is showing to her dancing.

Wishing lots of luck to Sophie N, Ruby C, Alison M, Scarlett P, Libby M, Nora C, Molly S, Zoe G, Katelyn D, Emily P and Sophie C, who are currently in France performing at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient with the Lorient Festival Highland Dance Team.

Big congratulations to Izzy, our July Star of the Month! πŸŒŸπŸ’™

Izzy has grown so much in confidence and consistency, while continuing to make fantastic improvements to her technique.

We were incredibly proud to see her represent our friends at Dunedin Dance Academy at the Dance World Cup, and she followed that with a brilliant performance at Airth Highland Games. It was a pleasure to watch her dance with such strength, confidence and beautiful technique, earning 1st place in all six qualifying dances before finishing the day as the Novice Championship Runner-Up.

July has been a fantastic month for Izzy, and we couldn’t be prouder. So well deserved! πŸ’™πŸ‘
