Today we had the privilege of attending the trophy ceremony held by Cornwall Youth Football League, where we collected our league 1 winners trophy and medals.

It was touching to see how important the people representing the football league made the players feel, and it was a great feeling to see all of our players faces light up as our captain lifted the trophy.
It's moments like this that makes all their hard work worth it.

Now a break before we prepare for the upcoming season in U13s.

Today we took the players to Kernow Slide for a bit of team bonding before heading back to Lanivet community centre for our end of season trophy presentation.

It was a lovely afternoon and a great chance to reflect on a very good season, the players all received a team trophy, then the individual awards were as follows....

Cornwall Youth Football League

What a busy football packed weekend at the Bodmin tournament.

As the u12s have several players playing up a year, we decided to split the teams again and enter an U12s & U11s team into the tournament.

The U12s played yesterday afternoon, winning 3, drawing 1 and losing 3.
Despite just missing out on making the semi final, we played some excellent football at times and were dominant in all but two of the games, creating so many chances but unfortunately not able to convert them all.

The U11s today however did make the Semi final after absolutely smashing their league, winning every league game without conceding a single goal.

We even carried that defensive form over into the semi-final in which we were the dominant side but missed several chances to win the game.

Unfortunately we then went out in the penalty shootout.

Overall it has been a fantastic season and the improvement within this squad has been amazing, leading us to a League winners finish, a cup final and great displays in the tournament.

Now we have our end of season presentation on Sunday to look forward to, and then a well deserved 4 week footballing break afterwards.

Today we travelled to Camelford to take on Polzeath in the league cup final.

Our winning streak had to come to an end at some point and unfortunately today turned out to be that time.

Polzeath came flying out of the blocks and pinned us back straight away, all their players were clearly up for the match and caught us cold.

Within 15 minutes we found ourselves 2 nil down with a mountain to climb.

We managed to regain a bit of control and created a few chances through Freddie and Archie, but we ended up 2 nil down going into halftime.

The 2nd half was slightly better but Polzeath managed to add a third and there looked to be only one winner.
We did manage to pull a goal back through the ever dangerous Tyler, but Polzeath reacted with yet another goal to make it 4-1.

Again we pushed, grabbing a second through Taylor, who converted from a Finley cross but it was a case of too little too late.

Polzeath ended up the winners and deservedly so, they were excellent on the day and were determined to finish their season on a high.

That draws the curtain on what has been an excellent season and despite a cup final loss, it was still a fantastic achievement to win the league and make a cup final, and today was a great experience for the whole squad to be involved in.

A massive thank you to everyone that has supported us throughout the season.
