Feeling more achy lately and not sure why? 😣

It’s something we’re hearing more and more from women going through perimenopause and menopause.

Stiffness first thing in the morning, joints that don’t quite loosen up, muscles that seem to hold onto tension… and recovery from exercise taking longer than it used to.

It can feel frustrating — especially when there’s no clear injury or cause.
What many people don’t realise is that hormonal changes, particularly a drop in oestrogen, can affect how your muscles, joints and connective tissues function.

Over time, this can show up as:
✨ Increased aches and stiffness
✨ Muscles that tire more quickly
✨ Slower recovery after activity
✨ Niggles in areas like shoulders, hips or ankles
✨ Feeling less confident in movement

When you add in disrupted sleep, fatigue or stress, it’s no surprise the body can start to feel a bit out of sync.

The important thing to know is this isn’t something you just have to “put up with”.

A few clinic updates for you 👋

✨ Ileana’s start date is getting closer, and her diary is now open ahead of her joining us as a CranioSacral Therapy Practitioner on 8th July
✨ Lisa’s diary is open for physiotherapy/women’s health appointments from July and is already leading on more Pilates classes at the chapel
✨ We’re also introducing bespoke 1:1 Pilates sessions with Lisa for a more personalised and focused approach
✨ Nathan will be having bicep surgery this week — his appointments will be rescheduled while he recovers, and we wish him a smooth recovery 💪
✨ Vicky’s been incredibly busy, so she’ll be opening up additional clinic time to help work through the waiting list
