Scorcher!! It's going to continue getting hotter this week, so obviously we ask our students at the adults and kids classes to a) dress comfortably - black/dark shorts and club tshirt are fine, b) keep hydrated, c) take breaks where you need them.
Outside of this, its always advisable to bring a towel to class.

Well this is exciting! We have the pleasure of being included in the Summer Fayre thanks to Lancing Parish Council. We will once again have a stall and will be giving out giftbags in exchange for completing our Kung Fu challenges!

We have had quite a few queries regarding our exciting new kids class!
So I have written a short FAQ to help:

Q) How much is it after the free introductory class?
A) The Lancing classes are just £15 a month.

Q) Are there any contracts or tie ins?
A) There are no contracts at all - you can take a break from training at any time.

Q) Is uniform expensive?
A) The only uniform we ask you to buy is the club tshirt which is £12 and not required until after the first month of training.

Q) My child has SEN - is that okay?
A) As parents of SEN children ourselves, we understand that different kids will respond differently to instruction. We work with parents to get the best out of our students.

Q) Do I have to/ can I stay for the class?
A) As part of our safeguarding requirements, we ask that all parents stay in the hall. Whilst our instructors have full DBS, we want parents to feel fully comfortable.

Q) Do you do anything outside of the class?
A) We do indeed - we have fun days, including our Lego party on 12th July - part of the perk of joining our club.

Q) Are there gradings?
A) Yes we have a full grading system designed by Sifu Steve, covering the full spectrum of Wing Chun. These are held every few months.

Q) Will my child be able to defend themselves after training with you?
A) Unlike some styles that teach kids 'token' strikes, we train kids in ways that allow them to defend against fully grown adults using clever body mechanics and technique. Some of our style is to encourage movement, whilst most is to develop effective self defence.

Q) Can I talk to you about my child's progress?
A) Our club prides itself on its down to earth nature. Whilst the Lancing Kids instructor Anastasia is always on hand to chat, you can also get in touch with thr club founder, Sifu Steve, at any time

Opens on Monday 29/06/2026 at 6.00pm with a completely free taster session. For ages 7+
South Coast Wing Chun For Kids is a unique class, designed to pass on ancient martial art skills with a modern twist!
