Lancing Eagles Running Club A friendly, fun and inclusive running club. Based at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre, we welcome runners of all abilities — from first-timers to marathoners.

Join us for weekly road & trail runs every Wednesday at 6:40pm, Sunday socials, and local races. West Sussex Running Club part of the West Sussex Fun Run League

How was this 4 weeks ago today?!

Keir decided to take on the mountain equivalent challenge during the 40 Hour Challenge 💙⛰️

By setting the treadmill to its steepest incline and power walking throughout, Keir achieved an incredible 1,345 metres of elevation gain — the equivalent height of Ben Nevis!

An amazing challenge and a brilliant achievement 👏

A huge well done to all the Lancing Eagles runners who took part in the Worthing 10K today, battling some very windy conditions! 💨🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Special congratulations to those who achieved new PBs (you know who you are) – a fantastic reward for all your hard work and dedication. 👏

We also had Eagles out on the Sunday Social, while Alice and her team took on Endure24, finishing an impressive 4th in their category. Go girls! 🦅

Another busy and brilliant week for our runners! 🦅🏃‍♀️☀️

We enjoyed a warm but lovely Wednesday evening club run, with plenty of miles, smiles and good company out on the routes.

Saturday saw a fantastic turnout of Eagles at Hove Prom parkrun for event no.2 in our club parkrun series. The competition is definitely starting to heat up! 👀🔥

Sunday’s Social was exactly that — super sociable with a cracking turnout. We kept cool(ish!) by taking in the seafront breeze while enjoying a relaxed run together.

Elsewhere, plenty of members were out getting their weekly long runs done nice and early to beat the hot weather. Dedication at its finest! 💪

And huge congratulations go to Becky and Fi, who completed their very first marathon at the Edinburgh Marathon in extremely hot conditions — an incredible achievement and one to be proud of! 🏅👏

Perhaps the most inspiring achievement of the entire 40 Hour Challenge came from Fran 💙🦅

At 28 weeks pregnant, Fran completed an incredible 4k in just 30 minutes — running the entire distance rather than walking.

An amazing effort that earned huge admiration from everyone involved 👏

The 40 Hour Challenge was full of inspiring moments — and these two performances were truly outstanding 💙🦅

Steve also took on the marathon distance, completing all 26.2 miles entirely by speed walking in exactly 6 hours.

Liam also completed a full marathon in an incredible 3:17, before later returning to run an extra 5k for fun!

Two amazing achievements during an unforgettable challenge 👏

Wow — what an effort and what a fantastic couple of days for the Eagles! 💙🦅

Our 40 Hour Charity Treadmill Challenge saw 43 Eagles come together to cover an incredible 432 miles, raising over £2400 so far for Ferring Country Centre.

A huge thank you to everyone who ran, supported, donated, and helped make the event such a success. What a way to celebrate 40 years of Lancing Eagles Running Club!

🎉 What an incredible couple of days for the Eagles last Thursday and Friday! 🎉

Our 40 Hour Charity Treadmill Challenge is complete — and we couldn’t be prouder of what was achieved together.

A huge thank you to every runner, supporter, volunteer, and everyone who donated or stopped by to cheer us on at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre. The challenge was a brilliant way to celebrate 40 years of Lancing Eagles Running Club while supporting another fantastic local organisation celebrating their own 40th anniversary.
