What a start to the season at Lanchester Lawn Tennis Club! ☀️
The sun has been shining, the grass courts are looking absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t have asked for a better opening to the season 🌿
Last night saw us kick off our first match in the Durham & Northumberland League with a Men’s Open Doubles fixture against Blaydon Tennis Club. Three teams, four sets… and a fantastic result for Lanchester, winning 7–5 🙌
Some truly spectacular tennis was played on a beautiful evening, a brilliant effort from everyone involved 👏
A huge thank you to all the players who took part, especially team captain Adam for leading the way. And a special mention to Dennis, not only for playing but for preparing our incredible grass courts...they really are something special 💚

A true hidden gem right here in Lanchester, our grass courts are ready for the new season and open for play for both existing and new members.

Our grass courts are being carefully prepared and will be opening soon for summer play. A huge thank you to Dennis, and everyone involved in getting them looking their best 👏

Huge thanks to all the amazing LLTC volunteers who wrapped up warm today for our maintenance day, helping get the grounds and clubhouse ready for the new season.

The sunshine is back and so are the tennis players! 🎾
We’re currently playing on the hard courts, and it won’t be long before our grass courts open for the summer season...our favourite time of year!
Whether you’re a complete beginner, a bit rusty, or looking to get back into tennis, new players are always very welcome.
