Wow, is the first word that comes to mind when Meg Meg Lounds turned up this afternoon on her wheelchair with the snap-on . Meg is on day one of her six day charity Way of the Roses challenge in support of Lancashire Youth Challenge - ‘which enables young people to build confidence and resilience’. She is being supported today and tomorrow by Nicola and Tim on their super lightweight and ‘fast’ (their own words) Calfee Design carbon tandem.
Nicola was at the shop on Saturday doing the Rapha Women 100 ride with Kendal Cycle Club so shared the love with a return visit today with Meg. Nicola and Tim are in training to complete the Wheelbase Fred Whitton Challenge next year on their tandem and said the next stage is to master climbing out of the saddle!!!
Meg went on to tell me that she daily commutes on her handcycle from Morecambe to Lancaster so if you see her be sure to say hi as she is truly remarkable. We have sponsored Meg today and if you also want to then please copy the link below.
Best wishes to all of them in their adventures 😎😍👌🏻
