Martin from Lincolnshire, is our first ever cyclist doing the Way of the Roses ride on a . Chatting to him, it soon emerged he is a seasoned tourer with lots of great adventures under his belt. Let me introduce you to Linda, Donna and Meg, who are all from Auckland, NZ. They are on a 4 week adventure throughout the UK, meandering from London to Edinburgh . They described themselves as happy go lucky keen cyclists, living by their saying of “All who wander are not lost”…, well they did admit that sometimes they are very lost. This is Jess from Hackney, London. She is on a 3 day Way of the Roses ride, carrying out a “recce” pre taking 8 woman on the route in September. These five friends (through running and cycling) are Helen Janet, Paul Jane and Helen (Left to right). They call themselves the Wednesday Wheelers from Sheffield and are on a 4 day Way of the Roses ride. They were all very relaxed and between them have ridden the route many times. This bunch were doing a charity ride for (providing palliative and end of life care for Derbyshire). They were being led by the CEO John Knight (far left) who said they had currently raised £4.5k. Today was a busy ‘the Way of the Roses’ day with plenty stopping off to refuel. Meet Rob, Mike Rick, Mark from Manchester and Bury on a 3 day challenge. When asked why they were doing the ride the response was they were on a “lads weekend”. Have fun chaps 🚴‍♂️🍻🚴🍻🚴‍♂️🍻🚴 🍻 👌🏻

We came to Helen’s rescue loaning her a fully charged axs battery so she didn’t have to spend the day on a potentially single geared gravel bike 🤔🥴. We’re always here to help 🚴‍♀️👌🏻
