On Sunday 6th September, we got most of the team together at The Giant Axe for our season 3 pictures ⚽️🏆

With thanks to one of our new players, Matty Bennett, SWC were really keen to sponors our kit as we moved into our 3rd season!

We have our first game coming up this weekend in the Social Inclusion 11-a-side league, followed by our first Veterans League fixture at the end of the month!

On Saturday 15th August we held our 2nd awards evening which was very kindly hosted by The Midland in Morecambe!

The evening was a great success, with over 20 awards handed out to our players from Team Blue, and Team White 🥇

The awards given out this year are as follows:

Player consistency - given to players who have turned up to almost every fixture and activity throughout the season.

Most improved - Given to players who have put the work in and shown massive improvements in the games.

We would like to add a second mention of gratitude to The Midland who were exceptional hosts, provided an amazing buffet for the team, ensured we wanted for nothing on the evening, and showed great patience when one of our players had a bit too much to drink 😬

We are only a few weeks away from starting our 3rd season, and we are just as hungry as ever to get stuck in - hopefully bringing back home the military veterans cup after falling to 2nd, and 3rd in that league this year!

We would like to thank Leigh Jeffrey from Lancashire Football Association for presenting us with our first trophy from an 11-a-side league 🏆

This was a big step up from our 7-a-side military veterans league, which we also finished 2nd, and 3rd in this season.

Playing in two leagues has been demanding on the whole team, and club founder / manager, Shawn. Yet, we all rose to the challenge, and we are firing on all cylinders ready for next season ⚽️

This weekend we celebrate a 2nd very successful season as a team with our awards evening that is very kindly hosted by The Midland in Morecambe 💙

Only a few weeks until we go again in our 3rd season! Will we continue to build on our success and silverware collection? Watch this space to find out!

Brilliant pre-season friendly today against a solid team made up of Lancashire Fire & Rescue, Northwest Ambulance Service, and even a Lancaster City Ladies FC player!

Some great players on the opposition, and a very challenging 90 minutes for our team…

The final score was 4-2 in our favour 🏆

Lancaster City FC Military Veterans would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Zori and Caitlin from The Midland in Morecambe for kindly sponsoring our awards evening at the end of our 2nd season by offering free use of their function room 🫡🏆

It has been a phenomenal, yet more challenging 2nd season for us, this time finishing 2nd & 3rd in the Northwest Military Veterans League, and finishing 1st in our first ever 11-a-side tournament in the Social Inclusion League 🥇

We have over 20 awards to give out this time, and we sincerely appreciate the ongoing support from the community. We're looking forward to coming back stronger again in our 3rd season!

Team Whites officially end our 2nd season with a tough game against Chorley today ⚽️🫡

Team White unfortunately took their first loss of the season against Chorley, who also gained their first two wins of the season!

Chorley played back to back games today, and won both, congratulations to the players who dug-in for both fixtures 🙌

As our 2nd season ends, we finish in 2nd & 3rd positions this year, with Accrington taking the trophy as league winners.

We did take the trophy home from our first 11-a-side league though, which definitely softens the blow 🏆

We will be back next season to try and reclaim our title ⚽️💙

On a positive note: we have attached a picture of how we take care of our players who have been dedicated to the team. For the players who have been with us from the start, they will have gained all of our branded kit and merchandise free of charge! Our players have never had to pay for anything to take part in our games and training sessions, and this is something we are hugely proud of 🙌

With thanks to our sponsors, funding grants, and charitable work from team manager, Shawn, we have been able to ensure all our players can attend fixtures and training without spending a single penny, so if you’re a military veteran of North Lancashire, and would like to get fit and active alongside the most successful military veterans team in the Northwest, then please contact us today! Our final fixture of our 2nd season!

Team whites take on Chorley FC Military Veterans in what will be our final fixture of the 2nd season ⚽️🫡

The league has been very different this year, with new challenges from additional teams. However, both our teams finish 2nd & 3rd in the league, and are still to take a loss in this league.

The champions this year will be another undefeated team, Accrington FC Military veterans - Congratulations to those!

We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters throughout this year, and we look forward to our 2nd awards evening being hosted at The Midland Hotel in Morecambe in August!

We also have exciting news to bring about a new front-of-shirt sponsor in our 3rd season, plus lots of new kit being supplied to our regular and reliable players!

Big win for Team Blue today 🏆

The team that were undefeated last season won their first local derby today against Morecambe FC Military Veterans, with a 6-3 scoreline that puts them in 2nd place ⚽️🫡

The first half was very close, finishing 2-2 as we headed into half-time. But they came out fighting in the second and bagged another 4 goals!

We also have team captain, Adam Mulgrew, wearing our new personalised armbands.

Both teams only have one game left this season and will likely be finishing 2nd & 3rd in the league table. Hard work paying off in our 2nd appearance in the Northwest Military Veterans League. Both teams technically still undefeated, the only team to have beaten one of our teams is our other team!

Congratulations to Accrington for winning this season on their first appearance, and we will be looking to reclaim the title next season…
