• Tuesday 1st of September 7,30-8,30pm @ Christ' Church (Wyresdale Rd, Lancaster LA1 3EA)
• Thursday 3rd of September 7,00-8,00pm @ Barton Road Community Centre (Bowerham Rd, Lancaster LA1 4BS)

after the 3rd of September we take a break and we will start the new season on the 22nd of September with our usual times and places.

We are very happy to participate this year in The Gregson Centre's Discovery Day!
On Sunday the 5th of July, we will host our - now we can say it - USUAL taster session for complete beginners from 1,00 to 1,45 in The Hall.

It's the perfect occasion to give capoeira angola a try. Maybe you had no chance to join so far.... maybe you tried and something didn't work out.... maybe being very busy this thing went down in your priorities... who knows...

No booking required, just pop in with enthusiasm and comfortable clothes. We will explore basic movements, music, songs and you will have the chance to meet part of the group that train weekly.

🇧🇷 Lenda da Capoeira tradicional Baiana. Um dos capoeiristas envolvidos na viagem em Dakar de 1966, Mestre Gato Preto (Jose Gabriel Goes), nasceu hoje, 19 de março de 1930.
Premiado como "Berimbau de ouro da Bahia", Mestre Gato Preto desenvolveu seu trabalho na capoeira em Baia e em São Paulo formando Mestres Ilustres que siguem tramandando a capoeira tradicional da Baia.

🇬🇧 Legend of traditional Bahian Capoeira. One of the capoeiristas involved in the 1966 Dakar expedition, Mestre Gato Preto (Jose Gabriel Goes), was born today, March 19, 1930.

Awarded the "Golden Berimbau of Bahia," Mestre Gato Preto developed his work in capoeira in Bahia and São Paulo, training illustrious masters who continue to weave the traditional capoeira of Bahia.
