🥋 Karate Grading – Sunday 🥋

With Sunday’s grading coming up, we just want to reassure everyone that there is absolutely no pressure to take part.

For some of our younger members, deciding whether to grade can feel like a very big decision. Sometimes it can even feel harder to say, “I don’t feel ready yet,” than it does to take part. We want every child to know that it is completely okay to wait until the next grading.

To everyone who has chosen to grade, we wish you the very best of luck. Just try your best, listen carefully and remember everything you have practised in class. There is no need to be perfect.

Whatever happens on the day — whether you pass, do not pass this time, or decide not to grade — we are proud of you. The effort, courage and commitment you have all shown in training has been fantastic.

There will always be another grading and another opportunity. What matters most is that every child continues to enjoy their karate, build confidence and progress at a pace that is right for them.

Good luck to everyone on Sunday. Be proud of yourselves and how far you have already come. 🥋

Class cancellation – Wednesday evening

Please note that there will be no karate class this Wednesday evening, which would usually run from 6pm–8.30pm.

The class clashes with the England football match, and as this is likely to be one of the few England World Cup matches many of our young people will be able to watch due to the timings of the other games, we have decided to cancel the session.

To make sure students do not miss out on training, anyone who would normally attend on Wednesday is very welcome to train on:

Monday 29th June
Monday 6th July

Training will be 6pm–7pm, or 6pm–7.30pm for ages 10+.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone enjoys the match.
