Hi Everyone 👋

Dont forget to send your emails to [email protected] to sign up for the league!

Sign up as individuals, small groups or full teams of 10-12 with a maximum of 3 males per team.

The deadline for team entries is Sunday 6th September.

Position recap for those who are unsure! Remember to give your three preferred positions when entering as an individual player.

There are 7 players on each team playing at one time. You are able to sub on and off only during each quarter time unless there's an injury. You will also need an 8th player each match on the sidelines to keep score of the match. It's always a good idea to have extra players each week incase of injuries and for people who want a break!

Shooting positions - GS / GA

Goal Shooter (GS) - allowed in the goal third they start in and inside the shooting 'D'

Goal Attack (GA) - allowed in the goal third they start in, inside the shooting 'D' and inside the centre third.

All goals must be scored within the shooting 'D' and these are the only two positions who are allowed to score goals.

Mid positions - WA / C / WD

Wing Attack (WA) - allowed in the goal third they start in and inside the centre third (NOT the shooting 'D')

Centre (C) - allowed in all three thirds, both goal thirds and the centre third. The centre third is where they will start. (NOT allowed in the shooting 'D' on either end) This is the position with the most running.

Wing Defence - allowed in the goal third they start in and inside the centre third (NOT the shooting 'D')

Defence positions - GD / GK

Goal Defence (GD) - allowed in the goal third they start in, inside the shooting 'D' and inside the centre third.

Goal Keeper (GK) - allowed in the goal third they start in and inside the shooting 'D'

Hi Everyone 👋

Just a little bit about us 🧡

We are, Mic and Kay. We are avid netball goers and love everything about netball. We're far from elite players, we just enjoy the social elements and exercise you gain from playing the sport! ⛹️‍♀️

Our aim in starting the league was to make the sport we love gender inclusive and to reintroduce it to people who may not have played for years, people who have never played, and people who play often, at an affordable cost.

We have both struggled throughout the lockdown period with the lack of exercise ('cause who wants to go for a run, right? 😅) and have been missing our netball fix. Or netty as we like to call it 😆.
Not only does netball better our physical and mental wellbeing, but the social side of the sport provides a fun and friendly environment, a night off from the kids and sometimes forces you out of your comfort zone when you are having an off day, and it makes you feel good! It is without a doubt a sport with a feel good sweat factor!

Over the years we have made many life long friends through netball, you really do grow close to your teammates and other teams too, becoming a big netball family 😂🧀👭👫👭.

We have been best friends for years (apart from that 6 months, but we won't talk about that 🤣🤣) we met when we were 13 years old and have been there for each other ever since.

Mic is an Assistant Manager at McDonald's and Kay owns a cobblers in the town centre. We are just your average day to day people who want to share with you this thing we love so much and hopefully give you all something to love or enjoy too.

That's enough of the cheese 😂🧀 we look forward to getting to know you all!
