Chatting grip pressure points and sweet spot control with JB. In this clip we’re talking specifically about the all important trail hand index finger pressure point, otherwise known as the number 3 pressure point coined by Homer Kelley. This is arguably the most important point of contact to have constantly pressured against the club in order to maximise clubshaft stress/maintain lag pressure leading into impact.

Feedback for a student on how to position the grip in order to apply more of an on plane force throughout release/impact. For many golfers, becoming familiar with the grip from more of an impact condition, as opposed to address, is a great way to sense the position of the pressure points (in the hands) on the aft side of the clubshaft. This can help apply/increase on plane leverage from the trail arm against the clubshaft, whilst keeping the clubhead on plane throughout the bottom of the swing.
