Today, Lancaster City Ladies FC stands together with everyone affected by su***de and those who may be struggling in silence.

A reminder that a simple “Are you okay?” can mean more than we realise. Take the time to check in with the people around you, listen without judgement, and let them know they’re not alone.

You never know what someone may be going through behind the scenes.

So today, and every day:

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗢𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵

Ellie Parkinson & Edie Statham

There were a number of players who could have been named POTM after today's victory, but we were unable to narrow it down to just one.

Firstly Ellie Parkinson, she ran the midfield, showing her versatility and discipline by sitting deeper than usual. Ellie controlled the game, constantly battling and breaking up the Workington attacks, whilst being her creative best using her passing range to set up attacks from deep.

And sharing the honours with Ellie is Edie Statham, who delivered a performance far beyond her years. Dominant in the air, and pin point in the tackle, the Workington attack were frustrated time and time again by our 17 year old centre-back. And to top it off, Edie showed her prowess at the other end of the field, when deployed as a makeshift striker, slotting past the Workington 'keeper to complete the scoring for the Dolly Ladies.
