Meet Andy, our club manager. Andy has held position for four years now and has been a member for the past fifteen years. “I love our rich heritage and tradition, and the course is an absolute joy”.

Many Lanark Golf Club members historically worked at the Glenmuir factory, creating a strong local social connection between the company and the club. The rich history between Glenmuir and our club continues to thrive today.

The Club’s connection with the Army goes right back to the beginning. In the early days, militia troops were camped on what is now the practice ground and, when Winston Barracks was built nearby, a strong bond quickly grew between the Club and the Cameronian Regiment.

That link is still very much part of the Club today. The main bar has recently been renamed the Cameronian Lounge in recognition of the Regiment’s place in the Club’s history. Over the years the Cameronians also presented a number of trophies to the Club, including the 1893 mess silverware. Today it lives on as the Army Cup, played for each year in the invitational foursomes competition.
