RAF Lakenheath Breckland Pines Golf Course

Sunday September 13th saw Breckland Pines celebrate the US Airforce’s 79th Birthday 🎂 week with a Scramble Event.
Our event saw 40 players took part, which included 3 different formats throughout the round.
The round started in the rain, but ended in glorious sunshine.
The event was played over 17 holes as the 4th green was was waterlogged first thing, until we could get out and brush the standing water away. Each of the players were treated to a celebration drink and a 🍰 at half way.
Of the 10 teams that took part, the top 2 teams could only be separated by a back 9 countback.
The winning score of 60 included a back 9 of 31. The winning team was Travis Brill and his visiting father, Tony Evans and Matthew Turner. In second place, with the same score, but a back 9 of 32 was Ryan Brunson, Mike Scofinsky, Mark Gagnon and Jake Edwards.
3rd place was taken by Jonathan Watson, Julie Tran, Kade Cowlen and Damian Marks with a score of 65.
The nearest the pin prizes were taken by Mike Scofinsky (6th) and Damian Marks (13th).
Thank you to all that came out and took part and for those prize winners that are yet to collect your prizes, they are available in the Pro-Shop.

Tomorrow (Friday 28th August), we are hosting the Tribase Lightning 🏒 🥅 Golf Day. They tee off at 8am, therefore the course will be closed until approximately 12.30pm. For more information on this event please call the Pro-Shop.

In an effort to utilise staff availability and maximise their use during the busiest times to keep waiting times down to a minimum, ‘ The Clubhouse’ restaurant has adjusted its Opening Hours. Please note that it will now be closed on Sunday.
This change does not affect the Golf Course or Pro-Shop opening times, which remain the same.
We appreciate your understanding.
