My Summer Basecamps for the over 8's are filling up quite fast, especially the Big Burn ones.
I'm raring to get back out in the woods again after my enforced lay off!

I had all my boats out on the water today with a lovely gang from Midlothian. Not much in the way of wildlife but we had fun running a faster part of the Oykel.

We are a small family run business delivering outdoor activities throughout Sutherland, Easter Ross and Inverness. We support schools with outdoor learning, provide holiday activities for children through our Basecamp series and deliver canoe tours through the summer.

What are Basecamps?
Day long outdoor adventures for 8 years and over.
Nature activities, bushcraft, woodland crafts and exploring the woods.
Great fun for outdoor, adventurous boys and girls. We learn how to use tools safely, we experience teamwork, we explore risk and our personal limits, we develop resilience ( the weather isn't always kind!), we make new friends, and most of all, we have fun!
We are back in action, this Summer!

I'm just back from guiding this lovely group of young folks along the Kyle of Sutherland. They had all come down from the RSPB Forsinard reserve, so we had plenty of wildlife chat!
Water level was very low, hence the running aground!

I have dropped off my canoe leaflets at the Ferrycroft Centre, Lairg if you would like to pick some up for you B&B or self catering.
If you can't get there to pick some up, message me and we can arrange something.

My canoe season is now well and truly started! The slightly breezy conditions and high water meant we explored some of the rarely visited off shoots on the Kyle of Sutherland.
We saw Mute Swan, Red Kite, Buzzard and lots of singing/ displaying Meadow Pipits.

I'm awaiting tests from NHS after a faint at work. It may prevent me from running Basecamps at Easter.
If by some stroke of luck ,they let me know in time, I'll post dates here.
There are 2 dates in May that might be more likely.

Refunds on their way.
Hopefully back to normal for April.

Basecamps at Aldie Burn and Lairg are full but I still have 4 spaces at Big Burn, Golspie Village on Monday 16th Feb.
Great outdoor activities for the over 8's.
Cost £35
