It is with great sadness that as of last night we had to close the Derby Arms until further notice as a response to Government measures to enforce social distancing and reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.

Until now, we have remained open, However, closing our pub in order to keep our employees, guests and communities safe is now the right thing to do.

We really hope that our doors won’t stay closed for too long and that we can be back playing the important role in our community that we always have.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all our guests that have supported us and we hope to welcome you all back here soon.

At The Derby Arms we are following the government hand washing guidelines. We hope our customers feel more a lot more comfortable in these times.

In reference to COVID-19 and the governments reactions we feel it is our duty to tell all our loyal customers what The Derby Arms intend to do in these times.

The current situation is a very serious one and should not be ignored, our government has advised people not to attend hospitality venues, although we are taking this serious we are also deciding that until we are forced to close we will continue to run as usual. HOWEVER we have taken it upon ourselves to add some measures to make our customers feel more comfortable when attending our pub.

- All staff are required to wash there hands every 30 minutes.

- We have added hand sanitiser gel for public us

- All cleaning products are now changed from household cleaners to bleach products and dettol while the pub is open.

- Our dedicated cleaner is working harder than ever to make sure everywhere is extra cleaner and sanitised.

We would also like to suggest where possible that payment be made via contactless, although cash payments will still be accepted.

We understand that these measures are not very grand but we hope they help our customers feel a lot more comfortable in these times.
