Last night I took the Painting Pots team to the circus!

A little treat to say thankyou for all their hard work over the summer, and one last get together before they all disappear off to the next chapter of their lives… university, gap years, MA’s and college.

I gave them bracelets made by Elsie (more on Elsie and her bracelets tomorrow!)

We worked out our winners of our summer customer awards (more on that tonight!)

We chatted about Mumbler awards! Who will be glamming up and joining me! (Have you voted yet?!)

…and then of course we whooped, squealed, ate candy floss and popcorn, cheered, laughed and watched ( and hid) behind our fingers!

Thanks girls, your work Mamma loves ya!!!

3 days back at school after 7 weeks…. And I’ve already had a call to go and pick up my poorly child…..

We had a few painters in yesterday for a ‘last treat before starting school’ as well as a ‘celebration for doing so well on their first morning’…..

What treat or celebration do you need today and why do you need it?!

I might paint something today- I never get to paint - of course it will be for the shelves! But it would be a treat for me!

I’ve got so many awesome things on th shelves at the moment too! Check out these huge, gorgeous butterfly lanterns we’ve got in! So super pretty!

I heard on the radio yesterday that September is becoming like January in terms of it being a time for making changes, resolutions, goal setting and looking for a fresh start.

I think I’ve always thought a little like this….. when we were younger - it was a new pencil case and school bag time, a new academic Diary and fresh stationary.

If you have kids still at school/college/university or maybe you work in an industry when September is Month 1 then you’ll get it!!

So ….. any one else think like this? Have any changes to make or goals to set this month?!

I think I’m in a place where I want to think a little more about self care… for my body and mind. Taking time out and welcoming an hour or two of peace (amongst my chaos) once in a while…

….. and breathe!

Child one has gone off to her third day at college, child two delivered to school, summer hols over….

Today is the first day in ages where my brain can stretch its legs….do you know what I mean?! Like…… I can start to think about what the next few months looks like, I can dream up workshops and daft reels and Tik Toks….i can even….. maybe…. read a little of my book!

I have found myself in Baltzersen's Harrogate…. With a coffee, slice of banana bread, my book and diary…..

So any requests for workshops, parties, events?!

Good morning….

It’s an early start for me today in the studio as we have a SLIME party this morning! …then bookings afterwards, while the rest of the family are off to Dacre Banks for a fun day!

I’ve got plenty of space after 12:30, so if you are after a last treat you can come on by….

We had a lovely group of work colleagues in last night celebrating a staff member leaving for maternity leave!

We opened up earlier for them to suit their work hours, they bought their own nibbles, drinks and even glasses.

A lovely chilled way to spend time together!
