NEW SIGNING: VICKY NAYLOR
Knaresborough Town Women are delighted to welcome goalkeeper Vicky Naylor to the club for the 2026/27 season.
Vicky brings a wealth of experience to the squad, having played football for 18 years across grassroots, academy and senior women’s teams. Most recently, she spent four and a half years playing college football in America.
Her time in America was unfortunately disrupted by several serious injuries, with the latest bringing her college career to a premature end. After spending two years unable to play, Vicky had made the difficult decision to step away from football altogether.
However, an opportunity to join Knaresborough encouraged her to give the game another chance—and we’re delighted that she did.
Vicky has fitted seamlessly into the squad and has been incredible between the sticks throughout pre-season. Her quality, experience and presence in goal have already made a huge impression on both the coaching staff and her new teammates.
Speaking about joining the club, Vicky said:
“I was very surprised when I was asked if I wanted to join Knaresborough, as I had already made the decision to leave football behind. However, I’m so glad I took the chance and went along to see what the team was about.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play in a competitive league again with a team and coaching staff who have been so supportive as I return from a difficult period in my career. They have helped me find my love for football again, and I’m really excited for the season ahead.”
She has already proven to be a fantastic addition to the group, and we’re proud to support her as she begins this next chapter of her career.
