Kirtlington Park Polo Club Kirtlington Park Polo Club - This Oxfordshire based club welcomes EVERYONE to come and join us.

Set within the beautiful Kirtlington Estate, Kirtlington Park Polo Club was originally founded in 1926 after a former inhabitant of the Argentine, Major Deed, bought polo ponies to school in the grounds of Kirtlington Park and persuaded the late Mr Hugh Budgett, who had become the new owner of the park in 1922, to start playing. The club was maintained until the beginning of the Second World War w

hen the ground was cultivated as part of the ‘Dig for Victory’ campaign. Mr Alan Budgett, son of Mr Hugh Budgett, reopened the club in 1954 and added a second ground. The club has continued to flourish and today we boast six grounds, around 40 tournaments a year ranging from -2 to 12 goal, comfortable spectator facilities and polo instruction. We warmly welcome all visitors - come and enjoy polo, beautiful ponies and the best of the British countryside.

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Anne Brown, a truly important and much-loved figure at Kirtlington Park Polo Club.

Anne served as Secretary of the Club for a number of years during the 1970s, and again from the 1980s through to 2001. She was a remarkable force — someone who truly embodied the Kirtlington spirit.

Anne is survived by her daughter Francesca Brewer and brother Richard Brewer, who would like to warmly invite members and friends of the Club to attend her funeral at 10:00am on Friday 6th February at St Mary’s Church, Weston-on-the-Green, followed by a funeral reception at the nearby Village Hall to celebrate her life.

For catering purposes, please DM the Club if you are planning to attend, so we can pass along approximate numbers to the family.

Our thoughts are with Anne’s family and loved ones at this time.

2026 marks the 100th year of Kirtlington Park Polo Club and of course we’re going to celebrate in style.🍾

There are lots of events planned throughout next season to mark our anniversary, but here’s one to put in your diaries now:

SUMMER BALL - 27 JUNE 2026

The last two year’s have been a runaway success and next year will be bigger and better. Word on the street is that people are already planning their tables (yes multiple tables) and lots of old faces who have played at Kirtlington in years gone by are planning on making an appearance. But tickets are limited and will be going on sale a lot earlier than in previous years. 🎟️

A busy week ahead with the Budgett Everett 6 Goal Victor Ludorum tournament! 🏇🔥 Come down to watch and support the teams...

🌟⭐️THE KPPC GOLDEN RAFFLE IS STILL TAKING PLACE!⭐️🌟

🌟We would like to thank all the family, friends of KPPC, and the local businesses who have supported this cause.

🌟Over the weekend we started to sell off our golden envelopes, firstly at our Midsummer Ball, and later at the clubhouse on the sidelines. The smiles of delight have been wonderful to see. Please come along to polo this week and have a go!!
