Kirriemuir Angling Club 2020 season`s catch was 84 salmon/grilse and 77 sea trout. Club Treasurer Ken Hillsden, Club Secretary Ross Watson.

We had a great day sea fishing off Fraserburgh today on the Rachel May

Several notable things occurred

George hooked the biggest beast he will ever hook, say no more

Fraser and Andrew landed 150+ mackeral

Ian got a wee bit peaky but recovered and landed some mackeral and haddock

Alex showed us all how you catch haddock

John, Murray and myself caught a decent catch of haddock and mackeral and went home with the makings of a decent fish supper

I know this is not the kinda stuff for all our members but I feel we have to digress just a wee bit. Maybe more trout fishing too? Open to comments

Who would be interested in another sea fishing trip? We did this last year and we caught quite a few fish of varying species, mainly mackeral, cod and po***ck. This year we have the possibility of a boat from Fraserburgh targeting haddock and cod. If we can get a dozen members interested we could charter the boat. Would be Saturday or Sunday to suit the majority. Let me know on the comments below

We have a great new bench thanks to Ian Simpson and his neighbour Henry. This is not it's final position, merely where we dropped it off.

Suggestions for it's location so far include the Elie Pool, the Island Pool (replacing the existing bench) and at the hut (replacing the existing bench)
