Orkney Junior Badminton

Orkney Junior Badminton We provide weekly coaching sessions for kids from P3 to U18's and also organise many competitions.

We run coaching sessions on Sundays at Picky for beginners, Intermediates and advanced squad training sessions at the KGS hall on Sunday afternoons. We also organise competitions for age groups from Primary to U18's and play Intercounties against Caithness & Shetland.

Below are results for the penultimate week of league for this season. Just one more week to go before the Jamboree! Remember to sign up as usual at 6pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
Then it will be fastest fingers first for the Jamboree sign-up the week after as numbers are limited to 24 players for this event.

A great night was had last Friday at the annual prize giving event. Huge thank you once again to all our sponsors for their kind and generous support over the past season. Macfoys brewery in Hatston hosted the event and special thanks goes to Emma and Stewart for their wonderful hospitality. Also, a massive shout out to MARS Bites for their fantastic catering, we are endlessly grateful for providing your services at such short notice. It was great to see so many junior players and parents in attendance. Congratulations to all prize winners and we look forward to another fantastic season in 2026/27.

Orkney v Caithness Junior Intercounty 2026

A day of fantastic play, hard fought games and admirable sportsmanship was had over in Thurso.
A result 52-20 in favour of Caithness was the result at close of play.
Very well done to all our Orkney players for their outstanding competitive efforts.
