Today was a reminder of what real winter golf is like with 45 mph winds and the last 2 greens covered in large hail stones which had really hurt on their way down!
Robbie Norquoy pleased to get the cup back as he kept a space on his mantle for the last two years.
The group of hardy todays golfers Keith Nicol, Dave Kirkpatrick, Willie Marwick, Malcolm Smart, Bruce Sutherland, Stuart Kemp Robbie Norquoy, Brian Kane, Robbie Bruce and Andy Kemp. I think Bob Adamson had gone home to lie down by then!

There have been suggestions for the last few years that the leaders should play together in the last group out on the last day so this is the entry form I propose to use on Saturday. Once we know who is there instead of the usual ball draw we will take twos from the bottom of the list if necessary and work up to Bob, Brian and Robbie (if Bob is there) as the last group.

It looks so close at the top of the league, my intention is that if there are equal points in any of the top three positions, I will count back most first places, most seconds and so on until there is a winner.
Also some bunkers are coming back in play, but for Saturday Seniors bunkers remain optional until the end of the competition.

It was hard going on the longer front nine today with summer greens in play, steady 25 mph wind gusting 40 and the odd wintery shower!

Course is closed for the weekend so lets hope things improve over the next week!

Course is closed today, Friday 13th, snow has gone except on golf course so I propose that we wait until Saturday morning and if the course is open we will have a ball draw at 10 o'clock and play the front nine once with half handicaps and full points awarded. Handicap cuts from 33, 31.5, 30 and so on. Bruce
