The Water Sound Bluegrass and Roots Festival is on this weekend. Looks like there will be tunes at the Sands too. So when the sailing finishes there will be music to enjoy.

If you're coming to Burray over the weekend of the festival be sure to bring your instrument and join in sessions and jamming. Maybe just around the field if it's nice 🤞😊 or in the Burray Hall or in the Sands Hotel (where they have Scapa Special on tap, I've heard) or just wherever you fancy!

Coming to sail at the regatta ? Please put car and boat down to the boatyard in the village as usual!. If you are coming to the music festival please follow the instructions below.

Forecast for regatta tomorrow 24th august is spot on. The wind direction is likely to be South South East and about 15mph blowing across the Sound making for light waves and grand conditions, might even get ☀️.
3 races in each class with 2 in the morning. Its the RNLI fun day too and your entry fee goes to lifeboats. There will be stalls and you may wish to bring your own grub.
Registration at 09.00hrs. Parking slightly limited this year as Sands need all their space. Boatyard has some wirk going on but there is space for dinghies and cars can always be left up the hill around the village hall.
