Scott Walker has confirmed he will be moving on from Kirkintilloch Rob Roy FC this Summer.
Walker joined the Rabs from Blantyre Victoria in 2016 and quickly hit the ground running, making the right back berth his own and being an instrumental component in the 2016 Central Sectional Cup winning team. He would go on to become Club Captain, and led the Club through its most difficult period in exile from Kirkintilloch.
With two cup runners-up medals in between, Scott’s proudest moment would come at the start of the 2024-25 season when he led the Roy out to their first home match in Kirkintilloch for over ten years - a moment that will go down in KRRFC history. In the 2025-26 season, Walker completed his tenth year of service to Rob Roy and was suitably rewarded with a testimonial match, where he made his 250th and final appearance in red and black.
The word ‘legend’ is banded about all too often in modern day football, but in the case of Scott Walker, it is the minimum to describe a man whose endeavour, tenacity, leadership, and loyalty was on full display for every one of those 250 matches. Scott Walker may be moving from Rob Roy, but Scott Walker’s legacy at Rob Roy is undiminishable.
Thank you Scott for your service to our Football Club. We wish you every success in your next steps.
