Some great advice on these videos from this club in Canada, some slight adaptations on some of the rules but still some useful info across the 12 Sessions they have created. Basics including rules, delivery, basic tactics etc.

Always a popular comp this one! Its had its fair share of Scottish Summer Forecasts! This year was no different with some heavy rain the morning of, however it cleared away and let the majority play in dry conditions!

4 Groups of 5 games @ 6 ends each produced 4 group winners to give us semi finals.
Beaten Semi Finalsits, D.Cochrane & Partners and HD Gourlay & Partners.

Beaten finalists - T McKeand, G Brown, J & M Baird.

Yesterday we held our Mabel Campbell Ladies Open Triples. What started out as a lovely Morning & Early afternoon soon changed as the heavens opened and had to cut the day short!

Usual fashion would have been to have Semi Finals & A Final from the 3 group winners & best runner up however this wasnt possible. The Match Secretaries decided the fairest way to decide a winner for the day was for the team with the highest points total from the 3 groups declared the winner to receive the lovely Rose Bowl Trophy and that the 4 would be Semi Finalists splitting the Prize Money!

Soo, The Winners (Winning all there respective group games) Collecting The Rose Bowl Trophy are - Sam Sample, Shirley Robson & Pon Brady from Dalbeattie!

As mentioned a few weeks ago, this Years Charity match would be going ahead for its 4th Consecutive year!

This year the club is pleased to announce we will be raising money for Dumfries & Galloway Bloodbikes!
D&G Bloodbike Volunteers carry out essential transfer of Blood & Medical Supplies to and from Hospitals & Health Centres across D&G 24/7 / 365 days a year and rely entirely on donations!

We will be hosting a "Friendly" (No doubt still competitve) match against Castle Douglas Bowling Club to help raise funds for the great volunteers at D&G BB!

Members can offer their interest in playing to Jazza & Alan Wylie. Spectators are encouraged to come along!

If anyone would like to offer raffle prizes it would be greatly appreciated.
